Money is the root of all evil. Rich people are bad. Investing is gambling.

From an early age, we’ve been thought that we shouldn’t chase money and that those who do and eventually get rich most likely did it in a meanly way.

Society has taught us to follow a strict pattern, and only if we finish college and get a job, we would earn a bit of money. Not much, but just enough so that we could say we’ve made it.

Investing is a gamble in the eyes of those who don’t invest. But not in the eyes of those who made millions out of it. However, for regular people, investing is too much of a risk. One that they cannot afford.

Therefore, they choose to work for 40 years at some average jobs, from which they have to ask for permission to take a two-week vacation once per year and retire at 65, most of them broke but happy enough that they’ve made it, just like the script that was taught to them in their youth.

Now, of course, there might be some exceptions, but statistically speaking, more than 70% of people follow this path.
